About Me:
Im Vangelis, 30 years old male, from Greece. I’ve done my undergraduate and master studies in Greece, Dept. of Computer Science, University of Ioannina. My Typical Day:
I get up at around 08:00-09:00am. I am a big coffee lover, so I always make a coffee first thing! I typically read for inspiration works of other people that are relevant to mine. Occasionally I have a meeting with my supervisor to discuss about my project. When all these finish, I work on my favourite part: I write code based on my ideas! My work is focused on Artificial Intelligence from video and audio. So, I try to write innovative programs that combine audio and video with the goal of making computers to predict human actions (for example ‘cut cheese’ or ‘close cupboard’) audio-visually. When I finish with writing the program, I run experiments to check whether my ideas work.
