Since I was 6 years old, I enjoyed to took apart my toys to create new ones, then through my basic education I did enjoy mathematics, physics and coding in addition to play basketball. I did Electronic engineering for my bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Mexico. Then, in 2014 I moved to start my PhD in computer engineering where I additionally discovered the world of juggling. Currently I am a research associate at King’s College London and I enjoy cooking Asian cuisine with my Chinese girlfriend.

My work is in the area of ultrasound-guidance interventions where I develop new algorithms, hardware and software for ultrasound needle tracking. On daily basis I jump from physics, to computer science, to medical imaging. I also collaborate with a multidisciplinary and international team with background in medicine, physics, computer science along with the top-class researchers in AI and photoacoustic.

My Typical Day:
I get up at 7am I prepare my breakfast and I check my twitter then my email and plan for the activities for the day. I start my day of activities from 9am to 5pm. I try to exercise thee time a week so sometimes I go out or I stay with my girlfriend to cook our dinner and enjoy it. Then around 10pm I read paper and see what is around the work in terms of research.

I plan for the activities for the day (usually using a calendar and a logbook to see what is in the timeline of the day). Then, I start my day of activities from 9am to 5pm (such activities involve meetings with my colleagues, work on reviewing code, design experiments, etc). I try to exercise thee time a week so sometimes I go out or I stay with my girlfriend to cook our dinner and enjoy it. Then around 10pm I read paper and see what is around the work in terms of research.
